Wall street crash

The wall street crash caused many promblems every one was effected by it.for example the usa is poorer because of wall St crash this would consquently stop america loaning money to other countries. Also the USA would raise the price of there goods to make money back they have lost.this would lead to other countries not being able to afford their goods.Unemployment would increase because less jobs would be avialble with compaines going bust and no one could afford to hire. The USA would not be able to afford goods from other countries making their econmy suffer,Prices would fall on goods in other countries. The usa put taxes on their goods to protect their companies from cheap imports this could prevent some companies going bust.Consequently the Wall street crash effected every country

manchurian crisis

Japan was one of the most powerful nations until the wallstreet crash and it effected their trading with countrys.so they felt they had to invade manchuria to make more money.

Alough it was japans army who invaded and not the goverment who orderd the invasion.china went to the league to solve the promblem.but japan left the league before any sanctions could be placed on them this showed how weak the league was and that it wasn't succesful at dealing with agressive nations,

Japan decided to try and invade china and take the city Shanghai.once agian china went to the league but the league was useless once agian.japan let the league know it had intentions of withdraw on march 2nd 1933 but this was on their on terms

league of nations

the league of nations was an organzation set up by woodrow wilson(us presidant) it was set up to prevent future wars and conflicts between countrys.the idea was if two countries had promblem they could go to the league and discuss the problem.this would be done in the leagues parliment and they would listen to the dispute and come to a decsion on how to proced.if a nation was seen to be the offender, the league could introduce verbial sanctions.basically telling them to leave another countries territory or face the consequences.if the offender ignored the league of nations, they could be hit with econmic sancations this would be arranged by the leagues council.the aim of the sancation was to fincially hit the aggersor nation so that it would have to do as the league said.the league of nations was based in geneva, switzerland because it was a netural country and did not fight in world war 1.the main members of the league were britian and france japan ,germay alough they were not aloud to join until 1933 also russia joined in 1934.the league of nation disolved in 1946.now the united nations is in place to deal with future conflicts and wars

treaty of versiale promblems

http://classtools.net/my/diamond916433treaty_of_versailles___problems.htm

i have put these statments in this order because i think its the correct order they should be in you can view the statments by the link above.I think the setting up of the league of nations was very important because it was set up to prevent future war and i think that is very important alough the league failed and wasn't very influencial or powerful.

After that i think it was important for the reparations' Germany had to pay to the Allies they were very high reparations of £6,600m.but in the end it is justice for the damage and lives they cost .and the countrys effected deserved money for the damages because their econmys were strongly affected by the war.

next i have placed the he Treaty of Brest-Litovsk that ended Russia's involvement in WWI meant huge areas of land were given to Germany. this in a way is an important factor because germany is gaining a large amount of land and i think that is a bounus for them.

next is the The end of the Austro-Hungarian empire led to nationalist uprisings calling for independence across Eastern Europe.this is important because it lead to other countrys being created and consequentley may not of happend if the war didnt start.

The secret Treaty of London (1915) between the Allies and Italy was not upheld at the Paris Peace Conference.i think this shows how other nations feel they need to discuss some stuff between themselves and that other nations are better left out

next is britian realising the treatys to be a mistake because this shows that powerful nations think the treatys are a waste of time and are doing more harm than good and basically other nations will think the same

Public opinion back home in the countries of the 'Big 3' meant huge pressures on Clemenceau, Wilson & Lloyd George.this didnt really apply much preasure because the big 3 would only agree on things what really benfited them and not the public only clemenceau because he made promise to his people

Woodrow Wilson persuaded representatives from France and Britain to support the principle of self-determination.this is really important because its only what woodrow wilson wanted and france and britian only would agree because they could get america to back them up on something

lastley the The 'Big 3' wanted different things from the Paris Peace Conference. this is obviuos because the big 3 will want different things from the treatys that are in there best intrests and that will benfit them and for example frances leader george cleamancal wanted to make germany suffer as much as possible because he promised his people back home he would and that was the main reason he was elected

suffragettes and Suffragists

The suffragettes (The Women’s Social And Political Union)

The suffragettes were founded by Emmeline Pankhurst in 1903.the suffragettes wanted the vote for women so bad that they would do anything to get it.they would break windows chain themselves to the railings outside of Buckingham Palace and would interrupt the political meetings of MPs.they would march in the street aswell and also set fires to buildings. the suffragettes had a news paper called the suffragette. One of the suffragettes attacked winston churchill on a train. The suffragettes eventually won the vote for women in 1918.

The suffragists (The National Union Of Woman’s Suffrage)

The suffragists were founded by Milicent Fawcett in 1897.they were also trying to get the vote for women.but they were doing it using peaceful persuasive tacticts, the would hold public mettings and pitions and write letters asking for the vote.alough these methods were peaceful they werent getting noticed much like the suffragettes were.the tactics they were using to get the vote would have eventually worked but would of taken a long time
